Crossfit Training
Crossfit.
It seems to divide everyone.
Some people think it's one of the best things to happen to the fitness industry while others say that it is full of horrendous Coaches that are just hurting people.
Both are probably true to a degree (the truth always seems to be that grey area in the middle), and while people will argue over the smaller aspects of the sport none can disagree that the athletes at the top of the sport aren't damn impressive!
As the sport of Crossfit evolves, so does the training for it. Once upon a time Crossfit athletes just used to do the WODS and call it a day. they would then go home and eat as very paleo based diet (as thats what they were instructed to do). They would then repeat it all (probably under time, for as many times as possible...).
However things are changing! I'm working with more and more people who want to compete in Crossfit and they are all taking a much more analytical look at their training and nutrition. While the nutritional needs of a Crossfit athlete in a massive post all on its own (and has very little to do with paleo), the training aspect can be reviewed in this great article.
I thought that this was a great read for all Crossfit athletes so I thought I would share it.
